I wanted to finish 4 seasons of Criminal Minds before the 5th season airs, which is on Wednesday, but I don't think I'll be able to get through 43 or so episodes, all about 44 minutes in length (I still have season 3 and 4 to go through).
Le sigh.
I haven't studied for my exam in Logic tomorrow. Not that I didn't do any homework today. I finished my assignment for my N190 class, pretending to use a tool in Photoshop which I don't have. It's in CS4, but I only have CS2 on my computer so I'm missing some things. I guess I could download it, might break my computer though and send it to its grave :\
Anyway, watched the Grammy's! Neil Patrick Harris's opening number was great. He has an awesome singing voice. I've watched part of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, but I hardly remember it now. I just remember him stalking this girl and meeting her in a laundromat and he acts all surprised when he sees her there and says, "Oh, what a crazy random happenstance!" It's hilarious. I love Neil.
Can't say much about the entire award show since I started doing that N190 assignment during the last hour. I am kind of pissed that reality shows get their own genre. I mean, I HATE reality shows with a passion. They're just mindless things to watch, it's not even entertaining. The only thing I hate more than reality shows would probably be Gumby. I don't think I could watch Gumby ever again, that green... clay blob used to haunt my fucking dreams when I was a kid.
Ah, it's 2:30am. I should probably go to sleep now. I need to study for that exam tomorrow in the morning before I go to class.
I am going through an f-ing Criminal Minds marathon today because I just downloaded the first two seasons! I am so excited, it's not even funny.
It's times like this when I wonder what I would do without the internet and without those heavenly individuals who are kind enough to upload shows for people like me who never watch TV. I have a problem keeping up with schedules normally, TV schedules included. I actually managed to keep up with Bones before, but that was at my aunt's house and that was years ago.
Oh, and I watched The Vampire Diaries despite my brain telling me, "Hey, I just thought I'd let you know that I'm going to KILL YOU very SLOWLY if you get sucked into the evil that is vampire mania."
The Vampire Diaries is sort of like Twilight in the sense that there's radomly placed, cheesy lines that make you want to puke and giggle at the same time (no, really, they were BONDING over the fact that they both keep DIARIES), and there's this sorta, kinda cute vampire guy that is totally crazy over this human girl and, oh dear, they can't be together because of the whole "I am a vampire and I will suck your blood and eventually kill you and then wallow in my own sadness for the rest of eternity" thing, which is understandable. But SERIOUSLY, what the hell is up with all the stalker!vampires? It's like they have nothing better to do with their time than stalk pretty girls all day. It's ridiculous.
However, The Vampire Diairies is a lot more likable than Twilight, which I suppose isn't saying much, but there are NO SPARKLY VAMPIRES and that is obviously A HUGE REASON WHY IT'S A LOT BETTER THAN TWILIGHT.
Can you tell that I hate sparkly vampires? When I saw that in the movie, I started laughing, and then I realized no one else around me was laughing and I was like, "Oh. That's supposed to happen?"
In the words of The Joker, "Why so seriousssss?"
Then again, I've never read the Twilight books, and as much as I am naturally curious about these things, I will not subject myself to reading those books if only because I would like to keep my sanity. And my remaining brain cells. No offense, Stephanie Meyer, but I've heard things and I don't want to read about how good-looking Edward is every fucking three sentences in the book. That just doesn't fly with me.
Apart from vampires, I've also been watching the Scifi or Syfy channel lately. I hate that spelling, "Syfy." It makes me want to pronounce it like "SEE-FEE" and that is not cool. But Kevin Sorbo was in 2 movies that I watched, although I didn't watch the entirety of either of them because I was sort of on my computer and my attention span when in front of a computer makes the rest of the world nonexistent.
However, the girl from The Vampire Diaries was in one of the Kevin Sorbo movies I watched. I don't know why I continuously refer to people in their acting roles. For example, I couldn't stop calling Kevin Sorbo "Hercules," and then there was this episode in Criminal Minds with James Van der Beek from Dawson's Creek, and his name was Tobias in the episode, but I just referred to him as Dawson. He did really well in that episode with the whole voice-altering thing he did. Twas freaky.
And no, before you say anything or try judging me, I was not one of those people who watched Dawson's Creek. Well, only if I came across it and only if there was nothing else on TV. I was more of a Charmed fan. I also watched Angel, which, you have to admit, is shitloads better than Twilight.
OK. I'm done. I shall make myself breakfast now and then go onto watching Criminal Minds. I hope you enjoyed this edition of "Alyssa Writes a Pointless Entry In Which She Wastes Your Time and Subsequently Destroys Some of Your Brain Cells!"
The series is centered around that researcher dude (see above images) named Nick, who is an expert on prehistoric creatures. After an anomaly, or "time portal" as I would call it, appears in the city, he and his assistant (I think he's an assistant, or maybe he's a colleage) take it upon themselves to set things right, which involves a lot of running away from said prehistoric animal without dying and trying to figure out how to get it back where it came from before the
Well, that's just the basis of it. I'd explain all the characters, but then it'd give away the plot, and I'm evil and I like making people curious about shit so watch it if you're interested.
And thanks to my current, unhidden love for BBC series, I ended up watching the first season of Life on Mars today, mostly because John Simm is in it and partially because I watched an episode of the US version. It's pretty good, in my opinion. There's this whole good cop/bad cop thing, but Sam (Simm's character) and Gene balance each other out. And the guy isn't a complete asshole like I first thought he was, which is nice. I haven't watched the second season yet, but I'll probably do that soon.
I finally bought cookies today. And milk. I missed drinking milk, although after I had a glass I found that I didn't really want to drink any more than that, which is kind of shitty since I bought 2 half gallons (I would have bought just 1 gallon, but they had a sale on the half gallons). Anyway, whatever. There will be cookies and milk for breakfast tomorrow since I completely forgot to buy cereal while I was at the store. And eggs. Damn, I forgot to buy eggs :(
Damn show.
Damn boys with accents.
Damn, damn, damn.
Colin: *to the camera* He bullies me all the time.
Bradley: You shut up! You shut the hell up! Now, smile! Smile, god damn it, smile!
Good thing that they haven't released season 2 yet, otherwise I doubt I'd get any homework done.
I finished watching Coffee Prince just a few moments ago. I think the series was pretty good, but I watched it without subs so I had no idea wtf was going on, I still somehow managed to watch all 17 episodes though! Yeah, Veoh kind of sucks right now.
But it was cute, especially towards the end. I have no idea why some parts happened the way they did, probably due to absence of subtitles, but it was a happy ending so... yeah. Idk. This isn't even a review, it's more like me just telling you I finished a series in a different language which I cannot understand... at all... although when she said "Saranghaeyo" I knew that meant "I love you" hahaha.
Ugh. I'm bored. I was watching Gokusen 3 earlier yesterday... I'm kind of getting tired of it, but I think there's only 10 episodes so I only have 1 more episode to go~
So, I stayed up last night watching my new-found love, Veronica Mars (which really shouldn't be a new-found love based on the fact that when it aired on TV the past 2 seasons, I was living in San Diego [the damn city it takes place in lmao]) But I'm slow.. and it's not like I never watched an episode before, I did. I thought it was good, but I don't watch TV at all anymore. The only reason why I watch TV now is because of DVR. Yes, I love it. You can leave the house and it records and you can just come back and watch it whenever you have free time (oh, the joys of modern technology! How do the Amish do it..)
Yes, I was watching the first season in my cousin's room because I never watched the first episodes, and OMFG it's great hahaha I like it better than Grey's Anatomy (probably because I haven't really entered into the Grey's Anatomy fandom yet haha). And I started watching Miami Ink out here in Indy. OMG I LOVE THAT SHOW TOO!! But I never get to watch it nowadays because I never know what time it's on.. and I think my uncle deletes the recordings after he watches 'em >__>; But seriously now, after watching just one damn episode of that show you SO want to get a tattoo.. even I, who despises tattoos, doesn't know the point of them, and would look completely out-of-place if I ever got a tattoo thinks that tattoos aren't as bad as they seem anymore haha NOT THAT I WOULD GET ONE. F.Y.I. Apparently there was this Filipino chick on the last episode or so haha
And concerning school, I have to do a walk-in to the computer lab and take a Psychology test which I have no clue about.. I mean, I was absent for 1 fucking day and it's like we're learning completely different things =__= COLLEGE SUCKS. PEOPLE ARE ASSHOLES. Hahaha, when you miss a day of school and you ask someone for notes, of course they always say yes (at least I think they would), but then they give this subtle impression that they really hate your guts when you ask for their notes v__v it's almost as if they're saying: "Hey, dumbass, how about you fucking come to school more often so you won't need my fucking notes, huh? I should send these notes to you with a virus as a fucking attachment you idiot." LOL.. okay, maybe not that vulgar, but you get the idea.
And I'm going through Akihabara@DEEP withdrawals.. I need my Page fix.
And crap! I think I'm obsessed with that Zhang Li Yin (AKA Jang Ri In) song, Timeless.. people referred to her as the Chinese BoA, but SHE IS SO MUCH BETTER.. not as pretty as BoA, I hate to say, but her voice totally kicks BoA's ass ^__^ thank God. I like her better. BoA fans, I'm sorry, but I hate her. Why do I hate her? I don't know.. I just do hahaha she annoys me with the way she acts. かわいいくねよ.. 本当に。And DEAR GOD, Junsu is fucking hot lmao. I thought he was cute before, and hell.. he wasn't even my favorite member, but now.. OMFG.. I love him ^^ Plus, my love for Changmin is slowly disappearing with every picture I see of his new orangey hair =__=; why, Changmin? What did those stylists do to you while you were in Japan? DID YOU MEET JOHNNY??!! DID HE BRAIN-WASH YOU WITH HIS GLITTERY COSTUMES?! T__T; I'm sad. Jaejoong apparently has blond hair now, but for some reason it doesn't look bad. It must be because his face is so.. feminine.. he looks good with bright blond hair haha. I hate blondes though, thank goodness he's a fake one ^__^V Micky, on the other hand.. I must hire some ninjas to go into his room at night and cut his fucking hair.. it's longer than mine >__> I love Micky and all (I know, there's not one DBSG member I hate is there?) but geesh, PLEASE let me cut your hair, Micky. I BEG OF YOU.
Okay, I think I pissed off enough BoA and Dong Bang Shin Gi fans today! But hey, I'm a fan of DBSG too! Am I the only one who DOESN'T like their hair? Yunho's, Junsu's, and Jaejoong's is fine.. BUT MICKY AND CHANGMIN x__X; Oh divine spirit, please put some sense into those two so they stop having bad hair days. I like Micky's hair SHORT, and I don't like it when Changmin's hair is the color of a fucking skittle dammit.
Note to self: Dane Cook is a horrible influence. He's shit-in-your-pants HIGH-LARIOUS, but a horrible influence.
