Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge ends at Vol.23?!?!?!?! WHYYYY. I LOVE THIS SERIES. SO WHYYY?
Dammit.
Ah well, I still have Gintama :D
Pandora Hearts is alright. I was wondering why people were so into it... it's sort of like an AU D.Gray-Man or something. And everybody loves D.Gray-Man so I guess it was only a matter of time before they liked Pandora Hearts too.
I also finished reading Rustblaster finally. I had originally started reading that around the same time as Vampire Knight (a series which I haven't been reading because Yuuki pisses me off... stupid shoujo manga) and I didn't get around to finishing it until now. The ending sort of reminded me of Parade, though I doubt they were copied from each other.
I watched up till episode 11 of Blassreiter. The anime is alright. The animation for all the car/mecha sequences reminded me of Intial D, which isn't a bad thing or anything. I actually thought it was pretty cool. Storyline is a bit... ehh... but it's licensed in America by FUNimation, I think, so you can guess that it's the type of anime that nerdy people who watch Adult Swim want to see. And I know it will only be shown on Adult Swim because there are a couple scenes with sexual implications (and by "implications" I mean that they don't show anything, but it's pretty clear what they're doing lol). I was surprised at that bit, but at the same time it made me laugh. I mean, dude, the chick with the green hair, really? Could she be anymore of an evil, slutty bitch?
I think that's all for now. I'll start reading Kuroshitsuji later. I've found that I don't like watching an anime series unless I've caught up on the manga, so that's why I've been holding off on watching those series. Hopefully Kuroshitsuji is good. Pandora Hearts was kind of a letdown, not too much, I mean it's still interesting, but it really reminds me of D.Gray-Man and the main character isn't nearly as interesting, although I do like his sadistic tendencies towards Gil.
I FINISHED READING LOVELY COMPLEX FINALLY. BWAHAHAHAHA.
One of my only favorite shoujo series :)
And I also caught up on Perfect Girl Evolution. Ahh, the manga-ka is such a tease with her writing! Just when I thought everything was falling into place, there was a fucking curve ball. Still a good series though. It's entertaining enough so I can't complain about it too much, even if it does make me want to punch a certain character in the face.
Why isn't anyone scanlating FIVE anymore T___T I want to read it. It's at 10 volumes and still ongoing, and people have only scanlated up till volume 6! I wish I could understand Korean. DAMMIT.
I also caught up on Gintama episodes (ep.98 and 99 killed me) and I downloaded the last episode of Tokyo Majin 2, which had me smiling the entire episode (er, most of it anyway) until I got to the end and then I was sad. Stupid anime. Stupid ending. Damn you, Tatsuma. Damn youuuuuuu~~~~~
The rest of Nabari no Oh has also been downloaded. I wonder what manga chapter they're up to now. I think I left off on ch.53, but I'm not sure how far the anime goes in with the manga. I doubt it's up that far, but you never know considering what happens around ch.50 (just remembering it makes me want to kill someone).
On my To-do(wnload) list, I still have 07-Ghost (I was reading the manga a long time ago so I'll probably have to re-read the few chapters I had and then catch up with the rest), Pandora Hearts (I have NO F-ING CLUE what this is about, but I keep hearing about it), Gundam 00 and its sequel (just because), Jigoku Shoujo 3 (since I have the first two series), and several others. I also need to catch up on Bleach and Naruto Shippuuden, two of the longest running series in my fucking life. Naruto is long just because it had that first, 220-episode long series, and then a fucking sequel that is still ongoing if I am not mistaken and the world hasn't somehow ended and Hell still remains to be unfrozen.
And did I really stop downloading Code Geass R2 halfway through and forget to get the rest of the episodes? WTF.
Next week is finals and shit. I'm stocking up on anime to make me feel better when I do realize that I failed all my classes :D YAYZ.
I was recently introduced to the most infuriating cliffhanger in my entire life a couple days ago. Of course the story gets really good at the end and of the first volume and then LEAVES ME HANGING THERE WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HOLD ONTO. Hence, cliffhanger.
Ugh. I hate cliffhangers.
I mean, the manga-ka must have been a sadist to leave all the readers like that. And the worst part of it is, if the next volume does come out (it better, so help me I will fucking go to Japan and murder some fools), it won't be out until next year (sometime in 2009). How did I come to this conclusion? Well, the first chapter of volume 1 was started in 2006 and the last chapter didn't finish until 2007... so that leaves me guessing it takes a year to write the story and publish it. However, there's room to assume that there will be setbacks in the publishing, authoring, illustrating, especially since this manga has a separate author and artist, unlike the others where one person is both the author/artist.
Also, it takes people time to obviously scan and upload the manga (Hey, isn't that the same as pirating? OF COURSE NOT.), so add on a few months and I have the estimated time of arrival for the next volume somewhere between late 2009 and mid 2010. I would have guessed the date to be earlier if the chapters had been published in a magazine first then gathered into a volume, but unfortunately that wasn't the case as the entire volume was published as a whole and not serialized anywhere beforehand, or so my sources say.
I guess I'm doomed to just keep re-reading the volume over and over again to get my fix. It's in Japanese since the entire thing hasn't been scanlated yet (and the groups that are scanlating it are on a hiatus...) so I can only understand a few parts in the story :\ I need to study Japanese more.
Dude, if I could write script I would totally make one to generate entry subjects. Fuck originality.
So, I updated myself on the newest chapters of Perfect Girl Evolution today :D I got to read 2 more chapters, bringing me to the high-and-mighty chapter of 75!
One question though: Why the hell aren't Sunako and Kyohei dating yet? WHYYYYY?!!?!?!?!
I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but, there's 20+ volumes out and all they've done is kissed. Twice. Like... wtf.
But I must be a masochist or something since I keep reading this godforsaken series >_>;;
Good thing the stories are filled with enough Sunako scariness and humor to keep me occupied 8D Plus I really like the art. I wasn't used to it at first since I'm more of a modern, clean lines kind of girl when it comes to manga art, but it grew on me ;P
Right now it's already almost 12 A.M. and my brother still hasn't come home *sigh* He makes my grandma worry when he goes out and doesn't call. I keep forgetting to tell him to let her know at least where he's going or what time he'll be back. And I always tend to wake up when he comes home because he's so effing loud =_=;; jerk.
My cold is still with me. I keep sniffling. I guess it doesn't help that I don't have my cough medicine anymore after leaving it at my dad's place ^^; haha
それはごめんね。^_^
I finally uploaded pictures from my trip to San Diego... I went like 2 months ago and I am just now updating with pictures ^^ sorry, it was because I left my USB cable in San Diego hahaha...
I've been feeling like buying manga lately. A lot of the stuff I started reading have been licensed... like ZOMBIE-LOAN, for example. I didn't even know it was licensed... well, you know that since the manga is licensed, licensing for the anime version will probably be soon as well (or maybe not... but I'm sure it'll eventually come!!)
First off, I don't give a shit, but English dubs are (for the most part) crappy as hell. One of the few licensed anime that didn't have a shitty English-dubbed version was Cowboy Bebop. Inuyasha isn't that bad, either. But Naruto is fucking HORRIBLE. I forgot what others there were... Bleach is alright, I suppose. Chobits' dubs weren't that great...
I don't know why but English voice actors who dub over anime just really suck... I DON'T GET IT!! IT'S FUCKING ACTING!! IT'S YOUR JOB!!! GET FUCKING BETTER AT IT!!
I shouldn't talk, though, since my voice wouldn't be a good voice-over ^^ I have a monotonous yet childish type of voice.... you're probably thinking that it'd be annoying to hear and I don't blame you... it probably is. But, to me, when I hear my voice it sounds different than what others hear. Like, my voice sounds normal and not monotonous, but when I'm recorded like on video camera it sounds like a little kid with no emotion XD hahaha it's true though...
